270 Bloggers!

Nathalie Ettzevoglou
I’m the course instructor! I received my BA from the University of Richmond, MA in French Literature from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and I’m currently working on my PhD here at the University of Connecticut. I will be specializing in French Medieval literature in particular the study of magic and medicine in narrative texts from the XI-XV centuries. I’ve taught a few French language courses at UCONN but FREN270W is my favorite one! My students create such a wonderful learning environment where we have fun discussing our various books. I hope that those of you out there who have found our blog will enjoy chatting with us!

Edson
HELLO! I’m Edson, and I’m a student currently attending UCONN trying to do a dual degree (not sure how thats going to end up) in international realtions (concentration in latin america) and finance. Basically i have no idea what I’m doing after college, but then again not many do. All I know is that I want to work outside the US (maybe central or south america). That is all.

GOOD DAY! I am Andrew, I am currently a senior at Uconn as a history major. I spend my time reading and writing papers most of the day when I am not in a class or at work. In my spare time I try to spend time with my Fraternity brothers, Pi Kappa Alpha (RUSH PIKE), and love to play almost every sport known to man. My goal is to graduate Uconn by the end of the Fall 2008 semester because I lost almost 20 credits transferring from Indiana State University after my freshmen year. I plan on attending law school upon graduating from Uconn and studying either elderly law or corporate law. So far my top choices of law schools are DePaul University in Chicago and New York Law School in Manhattan. I hope you enjoy my work that you find on this blog. Incase I don’t see you “Good afternoon, Good evening, and Good night!” (the truman show).

Wu
Hello world, I’m Wu ! I can see you have finally made it to my profile after reading the wonderful pulitzer prize style writings above me. Its a shame i am on the bottom. My hobbies in life are smoking cuban cigars and riding my beach crusier on a sunny afternoon with my dog, pluto. My set of attire I usually wear is beach shoes, white khakis and I like to wear two color polos over one another with collars popped up and a pair of aviators shades to go with my beach blonde sexy hair. My usual readings at work are the new york times and wall street journal, to show that I am working with my intelligence. But in real life, I like to have a nice caipirinha and read my VIBE and Source magazine along with KING and XXL. I am closet ghetto. shhh dont tell anyone. On my down time I like to spend that with my 40 year wife. She is currently carrying my 6th child, miguelito. We met over the internet two weeks ago and decided to marry as soon as possible 10 days later before my duo swedish-chinese visa expires. Now I am in the process of a green card. Afterwards I will import my family from stockholm and shanghai as they are awaiting there chance to live the american dream and that is to live in brownsville, new york. Currently I am developing a fashion line with Gucci and playboy to make a clothing line that will allow all people to feel better and look better. If your interested in working please contact me through my agent who is also my wife as I am currently on vacation in Macao.

Eleni
Whats up, my name’s Eleni. I’m a junior here at the University of Connecticut and I’m a Dietetics major. I’d like to get certified as a registered dietician and then probably continue on to become a chiropractor, while I do one on one nutrition counseling in the meantime. I’m athletic, volleyball being my favorite, and I love to hang out with my friends and family. And go to Greece as much as humanly possible. Nathalie’s cool, and Wu I feel sorry for your wife.

Matt
Hello, my name is Matt and I’m currently a junior at the University of Connecticut. I am a art history major with a concentration in modern day art. I played Olympic Development Soccer for Region15 and lacrosse at Brown University. My favorite sport is soccer and my favorite team is Arsenal. The best player in the world is clearly Thierry Henry, go France. I guess I’m very sport oriented and athletic, although i’m sure not many people would figure it. But on the other hand, life isn’t all about sports. I would also consider myself a sensative and considerate guy. I enjoy long walks on the beach, not just any beach, but ones that have pristine flawless sand with no shells cause those can cut your feet and lead to bad things. I hate PDA cause I just think thats gross, although I do find it somewhat heart-warming when other couples do hold hands. I also would describe myself as an eccentric individual, genius perhaps although I’m “legally” considered one through various IQ tests I had to take when I was young. Pretty rare to find an individual that played Division 1 Lacrosse and soccer at a national level, but also be amazingly smart. I also have my own two-person band, to which I play guitar(no vocals ofcourse I can’t sing well). My band music genre is indie I suppose, similar to music like Maria Taylor, Rilo Kiley, etc. I dress pretty laid back in designer jeans(7FAM for those of you that care) and chucks. I suppose that’s dressing indie but I try not to fit a mold because thats pretty bad for your health.

Hi! I’m Alysse…not to be confused with Larease although it does rhyme. I’m a junior here at UCONN, but it’s only my second semester. I transferred from the University of Georgia where it’s warm and toasty all the time (Go Dawgs!) which was a rather silly thing to do, but I decided that not being able to feel my nose all winter was a worthy sacrifice for being closer to family. I’ve been a sociology major, french major, human development and family studies major, philosophy major and am currently a psychology major (which I’m sticking with for the sake of graduating). Philosophy was by far my favorite of all the majors but I figured that psychology was more worthwhile to my future career choice as social worker/counselor/occupational therapist/humanitarian service field worker/yoga teacher…but probably not. I’m taking a semester off school and going to Nicaragua in the spring to work so I’m currently trying to teach myself to hablar espagnol but it’s not going very rapido.
